Labour Insight – a case study: Seetec Pluss – leading national disability employment specialist
Seetec Pluss is a leading provider of work and wellbeing services that helps jobseekers who need the most specialist support, to find work and achieve a career.
The employer services team needed to find the most effective means of understanding the labour market, to best support clients in finding the right employment. They needed to understand which employers were hiring and what the most in-demand and transferrable skills are, rather than relying on historical data which may be two years out of date.
The team were also spending a lot of time googling different job boards during sessions with clients, and finding most of the results weren’t relevant. They needed a tool where all job postings could be selected by relevant criteria such as specific skills criteria, education levels or specific employers for example; and then displayed in one place.
The employer services team chose Labour Insight to help them identify employment trends which directly influenced their skills provision to clients. This increased the likelihood of employment by preparing them for the right sectors at the right time.
Labour Insight also provided links to live vacancies which enabled the delivery staff access to opportunities to share with participants, which they can apply for there and then.
Having the team use Labour Insight has led to better outcomes for job seekers, and enabled Pluss to meet contractual and performance expectations.
